Psycho-social functioning

The Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire (SDQ) is a brief questionnaire which gives an indication of any difficulties a child or young person might have with conduct, inattention, emotions and peer relationships, as well as strengths in social functioning. Questions are asked on these 5 subjects - 4 on difficulties (emotional symptoms, conduct problems, hyperactivity/inattention, and peer relationship problems) and 1 on strengths (prosocial behaviour) - and a score produced which can indicate the likelihood that the child or young person may have a clinically significant problem.
