The level of acquisitive crime has decreased significantly in the last 12 years in Glasgow. Since a peak of 27,426 incidents in 2011/12, the number of recorded acquisitive crimes in Glasgow has fallen by 35%, to 17,955 incidents in 2018/19.
Notes
This measure of acquisitive crime includes housebreaking, theft of opening a lockfast place, theft of a motor vehicle, shoplifting, and other theft.
