Among 13-year old school pupils in Glasgow, 21% of girls and 28% of boys reported that they have ever had an alcoholic drink, which is lower than the average Scottish figures.

Among 15-year old school pupils in Glasgow, 61% of girls and 57% of boys reported that they have ever had an alcoholic drink, which is lower than the figures found in the other major Scottish cities as well as the average Scottish figures.

The Scottish Schools Adolescent Lifestyle and Substance Use Survey (SALSUS) is part of a long established series of national surveys on smoking, drinking and drug use. The survey is conducted on a biennial basis, targeting secondary school pupils in local authority and independent schools.
