Scottish cities

Glasgow has a slightly higher proportion than the other major Scottish cities of secondary school pupils who report that they have found themselves in a situation where they felt threatened of unsafe as a consequence of drinking alcohol (13% of boys and 14% of girls).

The Scottish Schools Adolescent Lifestyle and Substance Use Survey (SALSUS) is part of a long established series of national surveys on smoking, drinking and drug use. The survey is conducted on a biennial basis, targeting secondary school pupils in local authority and independent schools.
