There was a higher proportion of children living in households where at least one working age adult had a disability or long-term illness in Glasgow (24%) than in East Dunbartonshire, East Renfrewshire, Renfrewshire, South Lanarkshire or North Lanarkshire.  On the other hand, the estimate for Glasgow was lower than that recorded for West Dunbartonshire, Inverclyde, and Renfrewshire.

The definition of dependent children used in the Scottish Household Survey is children aged 0-15 years and children of 16-18 years who are in full time education.
