Job density compared across selected Scottish cities, 2000-2018

Between 2000 and 2018, there was at least one job per working age person in Glasgow, except in 2013, when the job density was at its lowest level since 2000. However, Glasgow and the other Scottish cities have consistently had higher job density levels than Scotland as a whole.
Notes
The job density is the number of jobs per working age resident and is used as indicator of labour demand. A job density greater than 1 indicates that there is more than one job per person for the working age population.
