Level of attention paid to politics in the West of Scotland compared with the rest of Scotland
The vast majority of people across Scotland pay at least 'some' attention to politics. The levels of attention are similar in the West of Scotland compared to the rest of Scotland, but a slightly higher proportion of people in the West of Scotland than in the rest of the country report paying 'not very much' attention or 'none at all' to politics (33% vs 28%).
Notes on data presented
This wave of the British Election Study has a sample size of 506 people in the West of Scotland and 4,846 people in the rest of Scotland. Further details of the study can be found on: http://www.britishelectionstudy.com.
