Evidence for action briefings

This set of evidence briefings have been designed to accompany the children and young people's profiles and to provide links between the profile indicators and the evidence base for action.

There are nine briefings that relate to indicators in the profiles (e.g. child poverty, lone parents). The evidence for action briefings are designed to provide background context on why an issue or topic is important, to highlight inequalities to consider, to identify challenges and solutions, and to provide examples of practical ways to address the issue.

These briefings have been developed by staff within the Glasgow Centre for Population Health and NHS Health Scotland. Their purpose is to aid thinking and planning about how to address an issue or improve a situation.

This work is seen as a pilot and depending on the feedback we receive further briefings may be developed. Please give us your feedback on the briefings as well as the profiles.
