The level of acquisitive crime has decreased significantly in the last 10 years in Glasgow from 2007/08 to 2016/17.  Since a peak of 27,426 incidents in 2011/12, the number of recorded acquisitive crimes in Glasgow has fallen by 30%, to 19,233 incidents in 2016/17.

Notes

This measure of acquisitive crime includes housebreaking, theft of opening a lockfast place, theft of a motor vehicle, shoplifting, and other theft.
