Violent crimes and offences, Scottish Cities 2016/17
In 2016/17, the rate of violent crimes and offences in Glasgow was markedly higher than in Scotland's other large cities and 55% higher than Scotland’s average. All of the large Scottish cities recorded rates of violent crime that were higher than the Scottish average.
Notes
This measure of violent crimes and offences includes recorded non-sexual crimes and offences of violence, such as murder, attempted murder, serious assault, common assault, and robbery.
