Gross annual pay for Glasgow residents in full-time employment increased by 41% in the period 2008-2022. The salaries of the 20% of highest paid employees were more than double the pay of the lowest paid 20% of employees.
Notes
These pay trend estimates come from the ONS' Annual survey of hours and earnings and are based on gross annual pay for full-time employees before income tax and national insurance.
The figures shown are for Glasgow residents, who may or may not work in the same local authority they live in. The figures do not reflect the levels of pay paid by workplaces within that authority.
