Compared to other Glasgow & Clyde Valley local authority areas, in 2015 Glasgow had a higher proportion of children living in households that reported experiencing financial difficulties (18%) than East Renfrewshire (8%), Inverclyde (8%), South Lanarkshire (11%), and North Lanarkshire (12%), though a lower proportion than Renfrewshire (21%), West Dunbartonshire (21%), and East Dunbartonshire (23%). 


Definition of dependent children in the Scottish Household Survey is children aged 0-15 years and children of 16-18 years who are in full time education.
