The graphs below show school meal uptake in primary schools between 2003 and 2012 in the four largest Scottish cities and across the Glasgow and Clyde Valley region.

The graphs above show that primary school meal uptake has remained relatively stable over the last decade. Uptake is highest in Glasgow at 61 percent, a rate which exceeds that for other cities, for other local authorities in the Glasgow and Clyde Valley region and for Scotland as a whole.

Notes on data
When counting the number of pupils taking school meals, Edinburgh do not include meals taken at morning break, whereas other local authorities do.
