Glasgow and Clyde Valley

Glasgow ranges in the middle of the Clyde Valley local authorities in terms of the proportion of secondary school pupils who report that they have found themselves in a situation where they felt threatened of unsafe as a consequence of drinking alcohol. The lowest proportions are found in Inverclyde and the highest in East Dunbartonshire.

The Scottish Schools Adolescent Lifestyle and Substance Use Survey (SALSUS) is part of a long established series of national surveys on smoking, drinking and drug use. The survey is conducted on a biennial basis, targeting secondary school pupils in local authority and independent schools.
