Glasgow and Clyde Valley LAs ASB Incidents   Youth Related ASB per 10 000 Population

The chart above highlights the rate of ASB incidents across the Glasgow and Clyde Valley region and the proportion that were classified as youth related. Glasgow experienced the fourth lowest proportion of youth ASB incidents during 2011/12 compared to other local authority areas in Glasgow and Clyde Valley. Out of all the ASB reports received, approximately 16% related to youth disorder, which is consistent with the previous year. This was below the average for all Glasgow and Clyde Valley local authorities, which was roughly 19%. East Dunbartonshire experienced the highest proportion with approximately 26% of all ASB incidents being youth related.  

Notes

Police Scotland define any reported incidents of antisocial behaviour as complaints or disturbances that are generally reported by members of the public.  These are recorded on the STORM Command and Control system.

Youth related:  If the recorded complaint or disturbance is reported as involving youths, the incident is given a youth flag.
